Salary: £13.68 per hour
Driving Licence required
You will work a pattern of 06:00am – 13:54pm Monday to Friday.
Job Purpose
Under the supervision of the Manager (Refuse & Cleansing) / Supervisors to carry out Contractual Street Cleansing duties and when operationally applicable drive Council vehicles.

Key Results Areas

1. Day to day completion of cleansing tasks, as per specification of the Contract, and in accordance with the Daily Route Schedules.

1. To drive Council vehicles complying with all instructions as issued in the Driver Handbook.

1. Comply with all Health and Safety Regulations, including the wearing of Council uniform, including protective clothing, and footwear.

1. To take reasonable care of own and others safety; to co-operate with managers/ supervisors in complying with statutory health & safety duties; to report incidents, accidents, faults etc.

1. When instructed attend all training courses.

1. Undertake such driving/cleansing duties as directed by the Manager (Refuse & Cleansing).

Qualifications and Experience
Hold a current, full, UK driving licence (essential)
Able to demonstrate experience of working in a refuse/cleansing environment (desirable)

Supervisory Responsibilities
The postholder will supervise Cleansing Operatives when working together

Special Conditions

The postholder will be required to work a rostered shift pattern, including weekends, bank holidays and extra-statutory days.
You will work a pattern of 06:00am – 13:54pm Monday to Friday.
