Main Purpose of Post/Job Summary:
⦁ To form part of a trained team of frontline staff who will provide customer service, lifeguarding, fitness instruction, gym supervision, including GP referrals, fitness classes (where qualified), cleaning and general leisure attendant duties.
⦁ To deliver a high quality service in a professional manner in accordance with Leisure Services policies and procedures, including a nationally accredited quality scheme.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To undertake fitness assessments and induction sessions for all users including GP referrals.
2. To devise suitable and safe training programmes, maintain appropriate records and provide evaluation and feedback.
3. To carry out regular safety inspections of all fitness equipment and check environmental conditions.
4. To implement and maintain strict data systems for confidential information relating to GP referred clients.
5. To undertake lifeguarding duties, ensuring the safety of all pool users in accordance with agreed Codes of Practice and internal procedures.
6. To check environmental conditions throughout the building with particular emphasis on fitness suite and initiate response maintenance as required.
7. To deliver a high quality customer service in line with the agreed Customer Charter, through interacting with customers, including membership enquiries and dealing with all queries and problems in accordance with council procedures.
8. To administer first aid in compliance with accident procedures. To record and report accidents, and take preventative action when required.
9. To maintain an up to date awareness of matters relating to leisure facilities.
10. To undertake attendant duties, including the erection and dismantling of equipment, and the safe storage and maintenance of same.
11. To carry out cleaning duties to ensure agreed high standards of hygiene and housekeeping are maintained.
12. To ensure the safe use and storage of all cleaning machinery and chemicals as per COSHH Regulations.
