**Job Opportunity: Visiting Officer**

Join our Financial Assessment / Income and Debt Team as a Visiting Officer! This role spans two services, offering a variety of tasks including:

– Inspecting empty or altered properties
– Conducting residency checks and assessment visits
– Assisting housebound or vulnerable customers without support
– Collecting income-related data and other council reductions

As a Visiting Officer, you’ll provide a high-quality, professional service across the Assessment Hub, following standard procedures with minimal supervision. Access to your own vehicle is essential, and travel expenses will be covered. All visits are local to Enfield, and you’ll need to produce detailed reports.

**Requirements:**

– Experience in providing a visiting service
– Adaptability and willingness to work across different hubs
– Strong communication skills for explaining complex matters
– Good IT and technical skills
– Commitment to continuous professional development

**Essential Knowledge:**

– Understanding of collection, income-related assessments, and benefit services
– Knowledge of best practices in income collection and assessment within a local authority
– Familiarity with welfare benefits and value for money principles

**Additional Information:**

– Start date is flexible
– Enhanced DBS without barring list required
– Candidates must be car owners/drivers
