Salary: £30.44
* Possession of recognised Social Work Qualification – Degree in Social Work (BA), a Masters Degree in Social Work, or equivalent;
* Registered with Social Work England;
* Ability to speak fluent English as stated in Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016);
* Team consists of an advanced practitioner, x1 business support worker, x1 adult social care practitioner, x5 social workers.
* Predominantly covers the Mendip area of Somerset Council, however may involve working within other areas of Somerset Council, as well as out of county for example home and/or hospital visits.
* Access to own transport essential, due to Somerset being a rural county;
* Working with adults aged 18 plus; as well as preparing for adulthood young people transitioning between children and adult services;
* Your work base will be within the Mendip mental health social care office in Wells, which is co-located with our community mental health and home treatment teams;
* Hybrid model of working, e.g two days in the office per week;
* Triage/duty rota at least 1-2 times per month;
* Experience of working within Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Mental Health Act 1983, S117 eligibility/aftercare;
*Use of RIO (health) and Eclipse (Social Care) databases would be an advantage, though training will be provided if not familiar with RIO and/or eclipse.
