MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Shared Regulatory Service operates across the three partner Councils, Bridgend, Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan under a single management structure. The Service is primarily accountable to a Joint Committee of Elected Members, but continues to serve the Licensing and Public Protection Committees of each partner council and in some instances each cabinet on corporate matters.
The job description refers to the principal duties and responsibilities of the Post. It does not necessarily list in detail all the tasks required to carry out these duties and responsibilities.
⦁ Dealing with initial point of contact for communicable disease cases, carrying out set duties, resolving queries at first point of contact and delivering the highest standard of customer service at all times.
⦁ Working with appropriate CRM/Digital tools and other relevant databases to manage cases.
⦁ Managing and working daily case load, meeting set targets for cases worked per shift.
⦁ Perform Health Protection Support Officer duties in line with the relevant legislative and local requirements and adapting to required changes as per service area needs.
⦁ Effective capturing, documenting, and monitoring relevant information to service area standard
⦁ Support and reassure service users whilst effectively communicating any legislative requirement and public health guidance. This may mean signposting service users to local support services.
⦁ Escalate challenging or complex cases to the clinical lead and work in line with relevant service/safeguarding/welfare guidelines and principles.
⦁ Ensure continuous improvement, initiating, facilitating, and responding to change in a positive manner.
⦁ To support and develop the services involvement in new initiatives, nationally and locally, in identified areas of work (as identified by the Team Manager Clinical Leads (Test Trace Protect Cardiff & Vale).
⦁ To undertake any other relevant duties assigned to the role either through legislative requirements or as allocated by Operational Manager Commercial Services or Team Manager Clinical Leads (Test Trace Protect Cardiff & Vale).
