We have four train stations (Ladywell, Catford, Catford Bridge, and Crofton Park) which are within a 10-12 minute walk from our offices based in Catford. These will give you direct connections to London Bridge, Waterloo East, and Charing Cross. The overground tube line also cuts through the borough of Lewisham making access to our schools easy. Bus routes serve all parts of the borough, and we have secure cycle parking and bespoke cycle paths. If you are travelling from further afield we can provide you with subsidised parking in a secure local authority carpark for £3 per day.
Anti-racist practice, equity, diversity and inclusion are at the heart of our assessments for children with special educational needs. At a time when demand is at a national high, Lewisham EPS is committed to give every one of our complex SEN children the best experience possible when coming into contact with one of our EPs and we want all psychological advice to have impact on the learning experiences of our children.
The majority of our schools are still maintained and we have strong and positive working relationships with them all. A mjor benefit of working in Lewisham is that our EP service is based alongside our health colleagues at the community development centre. This means we have easy access to speaking with paediatricians, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, health visitors and school nurses. Also we a closely linked with all integrated services for SEND and share a building with our SEN and social care teams.
We provide good quality assurance of reports and will give you feedback that supports your continued work with us. Our talented senior leadership team, specialist EPs, maingrade and TEPs, are here to provide a forum of peer support for any EP assessing our children. We are looking for locum EPs to work with us between 2-5 days per week. Come and join us!
