Salary: £16.60

Charnwood Borough Council are looking for an ASB Officer to work within the team to investigate complaints of anti-social behaviour, from beginning to end including legal action if required.
Job purpose
⦁ To contribute to ensuring the council achieves its vision and business objectives.
⦁ To ensure that tenants, leaseholders and customers are at the heart of all services and that all staff demonstrate a commitment to the development and implementation of the council’s involvement frameworks.
⦁ To hold primary accountability for all anti-social behaviour case management, within a designated caseload.
Delivery of an effective and appropriate service to all service users, fairly and without discrimination.
Experience
Experience in the delivery of a high-quality anti-social behaviour service.

Experience in participating in multi-agency working.

Experience of preparing witness statements and legal documentation relating to anti-social behaviour issues.

Experience in handling difficult customers in a compassionate and sensitive manner.

Experience of actively promoting and undertaking face-to-face and group meetings to reach effective and agreeable outcomes.

Experience in the use of anti-social behaviour IT systems.

Experience of giving evidence in court on anti- social behaviour cases.
Skills/Knowledge
Ability to make decisions, take the initiative and work under own direction.

Ability to plan and prioritise effectively in order to achieve targets and meet deadlines.

Knowledge of the legal and statutory framework relating to successful resolution of anti-social behaviour complaints.

Ability to understand, interpret and fully apply prescribed processes in line with council policy, including the application of sound judgement and discretion where required.

Ability to demonstrate an innovative approach to continual customer development.
