Runnymede Borough Council are refreshing end user IT equipment and require resource to roll out equipment.
The project requires that each desk in the council is provided with a docking station, 27inch monitor with gas arm. This equipment replaces old smaller monitor screens, docking units, laptop stands and user peripherals.
New equipment is currently boxed in the project room. Monitors will need to be attached to the gas arm, asset tagged and prepared prior to the deployment.
A Runnymede employee will deal with the interaction between the head of service, end user and quality check. A Runnymede employee will be always present to guide and assist.
Once the new equipment has been deployed the screen resolution and ergonomic distance should be set. A short training exercise for each end user is required to detail how to use ‘Windows Virtual Desktops’ and ‘Snap Assist’.
The job involves tidying cables, cleaning desks, connecting IT equipment and testing functionality. Old equipment will need to be removed to the project room ready for secure disposal. This job will be physically demanding.
