Salary: £307.00 per day

Main Purpose of the job:

The M365 Integration Specialist plays a vital role in Lewisham Council’s IT and Digital Services department, responsible for the seamless integration and optimisation of Microsoft 365 (M365) suite of applications and services.

As an M365 Integration Specialist, your primary objective is to leverage your expertise in M365 technologies to drive efficiency, productivity, and collaboration across the organization.

Knowledge and Experience

Proven experience as an M365 Integration Specialist or similar role, with a strong focus on M365 integration and administration.

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite, including SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Power Automate, Power Apps, and other related applications.

Proficient in developing custom solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).

Experience with Azure Active Directory, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure Functions is preferred.

Familiarity with ITIL best practices and knowledge of IT security principles.

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Experience of managing 3rd party IT and service suppliers

Solid operational understanding and experience of working within a Local Authority commercial environment.

Excellent experience of stakeholder management to an executive level

Experience of dealing with multiple concurrent issues and the ability to prioritise appropriately in line with commercial and business priorities.
Experience of networking/forming and sustaining relationships across the Council and with external partners

Strong understanding of technology requirements and good awareness of key trends and developments in the IT industry and potential commercial and operational implications

A general understanding of good practice in relation to digital solutions and potential implications in legal compliance and data protection.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.

Industry recognised architectural accreditation, e.g. ISEB,TOGAF etc.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Strategy and Architecture

1. Develop and implement strategies for integrating M365 components (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Yammer) with other enterprise applications.

2. Use APIs and other integration tools to design integrations between M365 and external applications.

3. Develop workflows to automate processes and enhance system user experience.

4. Develop and maintain technical documentation related to M365 integrations.

5. Provide support to internal teams, including end-users, project managers, and the applications team.

6. Maintain and develop knowledge across a range of IT specialisms and applications, providing detailed advice to users across the Council.

7. Identify and research new and innovative approaches to improve business processes and ensure compliance. Analyse current processes and identify alternative solutions or approaches where performance could be improved. Involved in the implementation of changes to these processes.

8. Manage and conduct IT risk assessments across the Council, identify potential risks, quantify the potential impact on the business making appropriate recommendations for mitigating risk. Ensure agreed levels of continuity across the Council are maintained.

9. Contribute to the development and testing of systems architectures and specific business or functional areas
