We require a full time (35hrs weekly) Senior Enablement Worker to cover a current vacancy. This role plays a vital role in ensuring each Adult we support has a safe assessment of support and care needs completed at the point of hospital discharge.
The role supports the timely discharge for clients and contributes to safe care being delivered. The role supports our requirements under our CQC standards in delivering a safe service. Applicants must have experience of putting together a care plan along with risk assessing and setting up medication Mar sheets within each client’s home, so that our carers know how to support the clients safely. candidates MUST have access to a car and willing to drive around Enfield to do home based assessments, working on a rolling rota to include working one weekend in 4.
THIS IS NOT A SOCIAL WORKER ROLE. we pay mileage to each worker in addition to the hourly salary. The worker will have on average 3 home visits daily to put together a care/support plan, risk assessments and medication MAR sheets on the spot ready for the carers 1st care call on the day. support is provided by an OT. working hours are on a 4 weekly rota pattern working 7 hours daily between the hours of 9.30am and 7.30pm on a rolling rota basis.

Essential:
1. As a regular and intrinsic part of this role requires you to speak to members of the public in English, the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential and consistent with the requirements of this role. This role also requires you to be polite and courteous when conversing with the public.
2. A Social Care qualification i.e. NVQ/QCF 3 in Social Care or equivalent.
3. Competent when using the IT systems and ability to maintain electronic records in accordance with statutory requirements and data protection policy.
4. Ability to produce personalised support plans, whilst balancing risk when promoting independence
5. Minimum of 2 years’ Experience of supporting vulnerable adults with home and community based personal care and support.
6. Ability to work independently using own initiative and as part of a team while managing workload effectively, prioritising work and adopting a flexible can-do approach to changing demands of the service.
7. Must have a full clean driving licence and assess to a vehicle to travel to homes to complete allocated work
Desirable:
1. An understanding of legislation and regulations that relate to services providing domiciliary care for vulnerable adults.
2. Understand Trusted assessors or knowledge of how assistive aids and equipment can maximise independence
Qualifications & Professional registration criteria
