Job Purpose:

To deliver training on the client record system to Children’s Services staff and assist in the maintenance of the live / test / train databases.

To ensure that staff and managers at all levels across Children’s Services are provided with the appropriate training as required by the Directorate.

Duties and Responsibilities

Job Specific Requirements

1. Undertake training to learn the client record system (currently CareFirst; to be Eclipse) and work processes that have been developed to use the applications appropriately.

2. Deliver high quality training on the client record system to targeted groups throughout Children’s Services.

3. Undertake the delivery of training through various mediums, e.g. online (Microsoft Teams) / e-learning / face to face with groups and individuals. Group sizes are varied.

4. Develop training material for e-learning and process mapping using various applications.

5. Maintain course training material, training plans and processes maps taking into account the introduction of new procedures and/or new equipment / technology.

6. Be responsible for the maintenance, analysis and reporting of course evaluation returns.

Education and Training
A sound working knowledge of using software within a MS Windows (or similar)

Use of database environments.

Experience / Knowledge
Use of databases.

Skills and Abilities
Able to produce clear and concise written / electronic material.

An effective oral communicator, including an ability to present information to a group in a concise way.
High level of interpersonal skills.

Organisational, time management skills and effective record keeping.

Proven track record of enabling others to achieve their goals.

Willingness to continually develop new ways of working, particularly with new technology and new skills.
