Adolescent Youth Worker

We currently have vacancies for the role of adolescent youth workers this is an exciting role.
We are looking for creative individuals who enjoy working with adolescents and their families to join locality Team, in Cardiff’s Children’s Service, and help make a difference to our young people’s lives.
You will be working to support Social Workers in the team and will work intensively and in a planned way with the adolescents, family or carers and other agencies and services, supporting children and families to achieve their potential. You will undertake direct work with adolescents, parenting work and group work. As well as this, you will undertake Return Home Interviews for children who have been missing. You will need to be able to work in partnership and use your skills to engage with children in a meaningful way.
You’ll need experience of working with children and young people in a paid or voluntary setting. You will also need to be able to engage with children and young people and their families/carers and support Social Workers in managing risk and achieving positive change working within the trauma informed manner.
As a member of our team, you will be working alongside Social Workers and other partners, agencies, and the voluntary sector to support children and their families in the community. Cardiff Children’s Service provides training to ensure competence and professional development. We will ensure that you receive a full induction and monthly supervision.
