Job description

Social Work Practice Consultant – Court Team

– Acts as an Advanced Practitioner within the Court Team, managing complex cases involving public and private law proceedings.

– Undertaking assessments, preparing written evidence, and represent Nottinghamshire County Council in court.

– Provide safeguarding and permanence planning for children, including pre-birth assessments and Section 7/37 reports.

– Offer consultation and co-working support to operational teams to build court-related skills and prevent delays.

– Ensuring compliance with legal frameworks, departmental procedures, and professional codes of conduct.

– Maintaining accurate records and collaborates with statutory and independent agencies.

– Demonstrating advanced knowledge of child care legislation, trauma-informed practice, and assessment frameworks.
