MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF POST

The job description refers to the principal duties and responsibilities of the Post. It does not necessarily list in detail all the tasks required to carry out these duties and responsibilities.

1. Management of the procurement of goods and services for Shared Regulatory Services including the processing of all invoices and resolving queries with suppliers and customers.

2. Provision of financial information and associated support for the Accountant responsible for SRS in a timely manner, ensuring that deadlines and end of year reserve obligations are met.

3. Responsible for the distribution of petty cash, and oversight of two petty cash accounts. Ensuring that petty cash and test purchase accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis.

4. Responsible for raising debtor invoices and through liaison with Team Managers and the Income Management Team, initiate debt recovery.

5. Responsible for the ordering, issuing and maintenance of stationery and similar stock and for the safe keeping of items stored.

6. Acting as the SRS single point of contact for ICT orders and responsible for the allocation of mobile phones, laptops and similar equipment to SRS staff. Responsible for the collection and banking of any monies owed by officers

7. Management of the PPE inventory and the ordering of items required for staff to perform their specialist roles safely.

General Duties

⦁ To implement the principles of the Council’s Environment Policy while carrying out the above duties.

⦁ Such other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the grade and in accordance with the general character of the job as may reasonably be required by the Head of Service from time to time.

Educated to A Level, BTEC National, or equivalent. Preferably studying AAT qualification or substantial finance officer exp Essential
