This is a vehicle fitter role based at Coleridge Road, Cardiff
Duties and Responsibilities:
⦁ To carry out repair and maintenance on motor vehicles and plant to comply with the standards set by legislation, Cardiff County Council Transport Services and vehicle manufacturers as applicable.

⦁ To keep records of all work undertaken, complete job cards or check lists to enable statutory records to be made and productive hours to be charged.

⦁ To list all parts required to effect repair to enable requisitions to be completed to enable speedy procurement.

⦁ To report any fault or defect apparent on a vehicle and not specified on a job card to enable it to be checked and if appropriate repair to be authorized.

⦁ To report any damage repair or non-predictable maintenance undertaken on a vehicle to enable user sections to be properly charged.

⦁ To ensure that no vehicle with a fault that could compromise safety or roadworthiness is returned to service before rectification or approval by a Supervisor/Inspector or other member of the Transport Services management.

⦁ To work with others to maintain a high standard of Service and Customer Care.

⦁ To undertake any training offered by Cardiff County Council.
