“The Market Management Service was established to ensure that Enfield’s private rented sector meets resident’s needs. The Market Management Service delivers Temporary Accommodation and Private Rented Housing Services, including the procurement, allocation, and management of almost 4000 homes.
The Housing Access Team delivers two key services – Enfield’s statutory homelessness allocation functions and the Brickhouse Rapid Rehousing Hub.
The Rapid rehousing Workers will be based at the Brickhouse Rapid Rehousing Hub in Enfield.
The role
We are aiming to recruit three interim Rapid Rehousing Workers to help households in Brickfield House to rapidly move-on into new privately rented homes.
The Rapid Rehousing Workers will carry caseloads of approximately 30 cases and rapidly assess and develop Rapid Rehousing Support Plans.
The Rapid Rehousing Workers will provide intensive, housing support (1-2hours/week) to help households to identify and secure privately rented housing (via Enfield’s Find Your Own Home Scheme).
The Rapid Rehousing Workers also will provide practical advice and support on PRS access as well as financial support.
The Workers will also accompany households to viewings, liaise with landlord/agents, arrange payments to landlords and to help set up new tenancies to improve sustainment.
The Rapid Rehousing Workers will also assist Housing Coordinators to assess the main duty and to help households to set up housing benefit claims, which will improve income collection on the costliest commercial hotels.

You must have knowledge and experience of the implementation of the statutory homelessness framework (Legislation, Suitability Order, Caselaw), including assessments, prevention, relief and main duties, TA duties and accommodation offers.
You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong IT skills and be able to work autonomously and inclusively in a team”

Skills, Experience, Knowledge & Abilities:
Essential:

1. Ability to assess, design, plan, implement Sustainable Housing Support Plans

2. Ability to work independently using own initiative whilst remaining accountable to line management

3. Experience of providing housing support to in emergency and temporary accommodation to rapidly move-on into PRS or other housing

4. Experience of providing housing support services to people who have experienced homelessness, including people with multiple and complex support needs, such as rough sleepers, people leaving prison/hospital, MAPPA

5. Ability to ensure all aspects of casework is carried out in accordance with relevant legislation, safeguarding policies and initiatives set

6. Ability to establish, develop and sustain effective working relationships with service users and partners.

7. Ability to ensure service users’ casefiles and documentation is relevant and update and that data is accurately entered int the various IT systems

8. Ability to constantly achieve performance targets and objectives

9. Experience of working collaboratively to develop and deliver Support Plans

10. Good knowledge of welfare, housing and homelessness policy, strategies, legislation, and case law, and its implementation within a statutory homelessness service,

Qualifications & Professional registration criteria:

1. High level of education or equivalent demonstratable experience
2. Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
