These will be to go into our Locality teams – workers must be Social Care Wales qualified –

LOCALITY
Cardiff City Council are looking to bring in a number of qualified Social Workers to cover mainly Child Protection cases.

We are currently looking for SW for the Intake and Locality long term teams

This Act focuses on working with people and families in partnership, to meet their needs in order to prevent them from escalating. The Wales Safeguarding Procedures are based on the principle that the protection of children from harm is the responsibility of all individuals, and all agencies working with the children.

We are looking for experienced social workers for both the Intake teams and Locality (long term teams) who can work with children whose names are placed on the Child Protection Register, families under Pre-Proceedings (PLO) and Court cases. You will be working in a busy, supportive skilled team that aim to make a positive impact to children and their families in order to improve their safety and well-being.
As a social worker in Cardiff you will make an impact on children’s lives, through your commitment and dedication you will help deliver high quality services and use a child-centred approach. Our social workers make a real difference to the families they work with and help their families who may have had a difficult start in life to achieve their best outcomes. As a social worker you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding children, building upon family relationships to support and empower children and their families to make important choices about the direction of their lives.
