We’re looking for a learning and development professional with strong project management skills to work for the London Borough Havering. 

It’s an exciting period of change; developing people capabilities and introduction of a Learning Management System is key to the success of this change. You will report to the L&D Manager and work to shape and implement, both individually and as key contributor, the learning and development provision. You will design, implement and evaluate a variety of learning solutions.   

It is a hybrid working style with a requirement to attend Havering offices once or twice a week working 36 hours a week.

Some of the projects you will lead and contribute to include:
• Commissioning, implementing & developing a Learning Management System
• Designing & developing people capabilities through Skills Academies
• Embedding a learning culture
• Commissioning external partners to deliver development solutions
• Peer-to-peer learning
• Developing and embedding blended learning approaches; including use of digital solutions and learning technology
• Change management

We are looking for someone with:
• Learning and development experience and expertise
• Project leadership and management skills
• Knowledge and experience of developing learning management systems
• Strong technical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confidence, is highly organised and able to work using initiative
• The ability to work closely alongside and consult with various stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
• Excellent facilitation skills at various levels of organisation
• Knowledge and experience of developing learning management systems
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent relationship skills and desire to work in a highly collaborative team
