An exciting opportunity to join an expanding team to deliver an award programme for young people aged 19-25 as part of their EHCP. We welcome applications from experienced workers who are skilled in outcome-focussed approaches and able to deliver person-centred support. There will be a need to work with young people who may engage in behaviours of concern, in line with their PBS plan.

There will be an element of personal care support, in addition to moving and positioning people.

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A PART TIME (28.8hr per week), TERM TIME ONLY ROLE.

Knowledge of working with young people with SEND needs, or vulnerable
adults including either holding a Care Certificate or a willingness to undertake E S
Understanding of Health & Safety, Safeguarding, MCA, DoLS and PBS E S/T
Working knowledge of alternative communication systems E I

Experience:
Experience of working with young people with SEND needs, or vulnerable
adults, or within a PBS service E I
Experience of supporting people to achieve outcomes through SMART
processes E I
Experience of implementing plans and supporting people through crisis D I

Aptitudes, Skills & Competencies:
Good written and IT skills to maintain client records E S/T
To be able to reflect and seek support when necessary E I
Effective contribution to team work E I
To support in assisting young people with functional tasks such as toilet,
transfers, eating and drinking. To ensure that the young person is treated with
dignity and respect at all times

Experience of supporting learning disabled people who may have PMLD or
autism out in the community
