Main tasks
To undertake duties to enable and support the management of the Care Home in full compliance of the Registration & Inspection Act (Wales) 2016
To undertake duties at the home in full compliance of service and Corporate Policies and Procedures.
To contribute to the development and enablement of a range of services to meet the needs of service users.
To undertake general & kitchen domestic duties that ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained at the home (according to the daily and weekly task sheets)
To undertake catering duties in the absence of the cook at tea & supper time if required.
To undertake catering and all domestic duties in a way that ensures that all catering regulations and good practices are adhered to.
To participate in a variety of shift patterns to ensure that domestic services are provided in order to maintain good service provision.
To participate in the development, implementation and monitoring of quality assurance systems in the service.
To contribute to the development of service policies and practices.
To evaluate the risk of abuse, failure to protect, and harm to self and others and to promote and work to the safeguarding of adults. In addition, to participate in all multi-agency reviews of all safeguarding of adults reviews.
To work effectively and harmoniously towards enhancing the performances of teams and individuals in a way that is consistent with Corporate Policies and Procedures.
To participate in supervision and annual PPDP requirements.
To maintain continuous professional development of self and identify training requirements and participate in any training deemed appropriate to the roles and responsibilities of the role in line with departmental training strategies.
To contribute to the maintenance and safety of the building and its contents.
To contribute to the management of resources and budgets and maintain appropriate financial records in line with departmental financial guidelines.
To liaise and work effectively with a wide variety of multi-agency persons, both internally and externally who support service users and the effective management of the care home.
To work within any Registered Care Home within the Directorate.
To undertake any other duties as directed by the Director of Social Services which may be deemed legal and reasonable at the time of instruction.
