Job Purpose:

⦁ To provide technical support to maintain, develop and manage the administration of the Children’s Services client record system (currently CareFirst; to be Eclipse).
⦁ To identify client record system solutions to operational, performance and information requirements.
⦁ To support and advise on the production of client record system training materials.

Duties and Responsibilities
Job Specific

1. To assist in the implementation and maintenance of the Children’s Services client record system, including:
⦁ Systems administration and maintenance
⦁ Systems support and helpdesk
⦁ Systems and data auditing
⦁ System testing and development
⦁ Testing of new and upgraded functionality

2. To maintain the client record system and liaise with users to ensure data is entered consistently and accurately and to monitor compliance of users to agreed standard practices.

3. To support the Children’s Services client record system helpdesk, ensuring all calls are responded to within prescribed timescales and that patterns of problems can be detected.

4. To provide advice, practical support, assistance and expert help and guidance on a one to one basis to end users via the telephone, email and in person to staff in their day to day operation of the client record system. This will include resolving database enquiries and problems in a patient and caring manner.

Experience
Experience of using PC applications, including Microsoft Office products in the workplace.

Experience of providing telephone / virtual support to end users.

Knowledge and experience in using a client record system.

Skills and Abilities
Effective communicator in verbal and written form, including use of telephone.

Accuracy / attention to detail.

Ability to prioritise and organise own work.

Competent IT user.

Ability to use own initiative.

Commitment to produce quality work.
